Students who complete Honors, Contest, or Scholars Math 7: Introduction to Algebra, are generally ready for Scholars Math 7.1 & 7.2. We recommend that students take the Scholars Math 7.1 & 7.2 placement exam to confirm whether they are ready for this course.
Our expert instructors use Art of Problem Solving curriculum to teach Scholars Math 7.1: Introduction to Counting & Probability and Scholars Math 7.2: Introduction to Number Theory. AoPS curriculum is a much broader and deeper exploration of challenging mathematics than a typical math curriculum, preparing students for success at top universities and in competitive careers.
These courses cover the Art of Problem Solving Introduction to Counting & Probability and Introduction to Number Theory books.
Our instructors hold classes virtually, in a small-sized (10-16 students) videoconferencing classroom.
There are about 1 to 3 hours of homework each week. There is one timed final exam at the end of each course.

Each course runs for 18 weeks with one 105-minute lesson per week.
