Students who have completed Math 7 (Part 1) or have passed the placement test for Honors Math 7 (Part 2) are ready for AMC 8/MATHCOUNTS Comprehensive Training.
Our expert instructors use Art of Problem Solving curriculum to teach AMC 8/MATHCOUNTS Comprehensive Training. In this course, students prepare for the most rigorous middle school math competitions by learning the strategies and methods needed for success on the American Mathematics Competition 8, MATHCOUNTS, and other major middle school contests.
This course uses the book Art of Problem Solving, Volume 1.
Our instructors hold classes virtually, in a small-sized (10-16 students) videoconferencing classroom.
There are about 2 to 3 hours of homework each week. There are mock contests after each quarter of the course.
